Meet Oral Surgeon Dr. Willis
Dr. Willis was born to a career military family at Hill Air Force Base, Ogden, Utah. However, Florida has always been home. Dr. Willis currently resides in Franklin, Tennessee, he is a Father to four children and Grandfather to two grandsons. He is also an avid animal lover and is dedicated to the care of his patients and his practice. Prior to arriving in Tennessee, Dr. Willis Attended high school in Tampa, Florida. He continued to practiced in Florida for 23 years where prior to Graduate School, he was a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy.
Dr. Willis received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and earned his Dental Degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry where he served as Senior Class President. While in Dental School, he was elected to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Willis is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons. He is also a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Tennessee Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, The Florida Dental Society of Anesthesiology, The Tennessee Dental Society of Anesthesiology, The American Dental Association and the Tennessee Dental Association.
Dr. Willis’s special interests lie primarily in office based surgery following years of hospital based orthognathic, TMJ and Facial trauma surgery. He has extensive experience with medically compromised patients, pathology, preprosthetic/dentoalveolar surgery, wisdom teeth, dental implants, head and neck infections and outpatient intravenous sedation/general anesthesia.
